  2. Evening wear competition includes two on-stage questions. This pageant recommends minimizing costs and buying "off the rack" if possible.
  3. All meetings, rehearsals, and interviews are mandatory unless otherwise authorized by a pageant official, in particular the executive directors. All contestants must be on time. Failure to attend all mandatory events may result in expulsion from the pageant.
  4. Two 5 x 7 headshot photos required; no crown; interview suit suggested, can be black/white or color. Photo shoots can be scheduled in groups if enough contestants are interested well enough in advance. Contact Executive Directors in this regard.
  5. Fact sheet, index intro cards, contract, all paperwork, and talent tapes/CDs - DUE 11/30/04, but turn in sooner if possible! Birth Certificate Due ASAP/now!
  6. Competition wardrobe must be approved by a pageant official, can be reviewed at the early rehearsals, or the dress rehearsal.
  7. No PARENTS, FAMILY, HAIRDRESSERS, MAKE UP ARTISTS, or COACHES allowed backstage. The pageant will provide some assistance with hair and make-up. Contestants are encouraged to use this as a learning experience to do such things for themselves. At the state pageant, they are responsible for getting themselves ready!
  8. No CAMERAS or VIDEOS are allowed during the competition. The pageant will have a photographer & videographer, and you will be allowed to buy packages in advance.
  9. All tickets and money must be turned in by January 2nd, 2005 (the last rehearsal, one week before the pageant), preferrably sooner. You are personally responsible for any lost tickets or ticket money.
  10. The North Florida Scholarship Organization, Inc. or pageant staff of the Miss Jacksonville/First Coast Scholarship Pageant will offer special assistance, training, and wardrobing tips to those contestants who obtain their own sponsors and sign a contract. The Pageant will try to assist contestants who may have difficulty in finding a sponsor. SPECIAL NOTE: Once you have made a commitment with a sponsor and signed the contract, you will then be offered assistance and training in interview, wardrobe, etc. Upon obtaining your own sponsor, you can then make your talent selection and request a tentative contestant line-up number. The Miss America system does not require the Pageant to offer any training in interview, makeup, or wardrobing.
  11. PROOF OF RESIDENCE must be provided in the form of copies of 2 of the following: current Fla. driver's license or Florida auto registration issued at least 6 months, current voters registration card or written statement from the voting registrar of valid current registration in the Jacksonville area or within the designated radius, current lease in the contestant's name for housing in the Jacksonville area or within the designated radius, current utility bills in the contestant's name showing residence in the Jacksonville area or within the designated radius. The above should indicate your residence in the pageant area for at least 6 months prior to the pageant date.
